Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 large big onion


  • 1/2 tsp chopped green chilli


  • 1 TBSP chopped coriander leaf


  • 1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder


  • 1/4tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala


  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain


  • 1 pinch of Hing (Asafoetida)


  • 1 Oil for deep fry


  • 1 salt to taste


  • 1 water as required for a thick batter


  • 1/4cup rice flour


  • 1 cup basen

Directions

  • Slice the onion thinly, take it to a mixing bowl
  • Add chopped green chillies and coriander leaves
  • Add spice and powder - red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt, asafoetida, Ajwain,
  • Mix everything well , keep. aside for 15-20mins
  • Now add basen and rice Flour,
  • Add required amount of water , make. a medium thick batter
  • Now the batter is ready
  • Heat the oil in a pan for deep frying
  • While frying stir occasionally for even frying
  • Fry them till golden brown and transfer it to a absorbent tissue placed in a paper
  • Serve onion pakoda with pudhina chutney or tomato Sauce
